I wrote this album as a magic spell (specifically, what Grant Morrison calls a ‘hypersigil’ - an extended work of art with magical meaning and willpower) to overcome an extreme romantic obsession.

Recorded by trusted friends in the Devon countryside, it weaves learning from a 12 step program for love addiction with an intention to capture the beauty I had projected outward into the object of my desire and contain it safely in layers of violin, piano and voice.

45 pounds is a lot of money to spend on an album. It really is. That said, at one stage in my obsession I was willing to drop thousands of pounds on relationship coaches and “twin flame” related scams in a desparate bid to try and recapture my love interest.

If you are someone suffering from heartbreak, I believe investing in this music to be as worthwhile as the best relationship coaches. This piece of work is here to soothe and work directly on a troubled soul. It traces the path of falling, aching, and yearning through to surrender and release. It is one that I hope says “You’re not alone in this feeling. I’ve been here and made it through. You’ve got this”.
